Pali Highway. Sore legs! Usually, I don't run 2 days in a row so I...ran 3 days in a row! My pace, for the first 2 miles, was too fast. Died during mile 3 and struggled just to finish. Knee feels ok :)

3.5 miles in 33:11/Split 9:28
Moanalua Valley. Ran easy uphill first 2 miles...picked up the pace downhill the last 1 1/2 miles. Hmm...my max HR was 249? Oh, I think my HR monitor was just a little off :-/
3/14/13
3 miles in 29:23/Split 9:47
Pearl City Bike Path (Neal Blaisdell Park). Easy run...no knee pain. Picked it up the last mile to hit my usual pace
3/6/13
3 miles in 29:44/Split 9:54
Ala Moana Beach Park. Easy run but the sun was getting to me towards the end.
3/7/13
3 miles in 28:15/Split 9:24
Ala Moana Beach Park. Ran at a faster pace than normal. It was evening so the sun was not an issue :-)
2/26/13
4.25 miles in 47:30/Split 11:10
Moanalua District. Ran super slow testing out my knee...all good! Ran slow up & down the hills (didn't think flying downhill would be good for the knee).

3 miles in 30:34/Split 10:09
Moanalua Valley. Another easy run...they'll all be easy until my knee heals. Yes, mom...I know how you feel!

4 miles in 40:01/Split 10:00
Pearl City Bike Path (Neal Blaisdell Park). Easy run...no knee pain. Picked it up the last mile to hit my usual pace

8.15 miles in 1:24:04/Split 10:18
Great Aloha Run. My time was 8 minutes slower than the I last ran GAR in 2009 (older, heavier, less fitness). My wife was walking with my son in a stroller & I started with them way, way back in the pack (I saw a sign that said "Estimated Finish Time 3:30-4:00").
I spent the first 3 miles weaving around strollers, walkers & slower runners. I expended a lot of energy, early on (a lot of accelerating & braking). When the crowd finally thinned out during mile 3, I eased up and settled into a slower-than-normal pace. I haven't run 8 miles in over a year so I just wanted to make sure I would finish.
Finally, during mile 8, I picked up the pace & ran hard to the finish. Next year I'll have to abandon the wife and move up in the starting corral (to lessen the human obstacle course at the start!). Honey...just kidding :-\
2/20/13
5 miles in 53:30/Split 10:39
Moanalua Valley. This was suppose to be an easy, recovery type run. For some reason, I decided to turn on Ala Iolani St and climb the hill, then on to Ala Lani for additional climbing. There were also 25 mph winds that always seemed to be against me. Felt some pain on the inside of my left knee...need a little rest.
2/11/13
3 miles in 29:47/Split 9:54
Moanalua Valley. Running in new shoes so I took it easy going uphill. Picked it up a bit on the downhill (trying to outrun the rain!)
2/13/13
6 miles in 1:02:29/Split 10:24
Mililani Town. Easy, long run. Wanted to go 6 miles but my planned "Figure 8" route came up a little short @ 5.60 miles :-\
2/14/13
3.5 miles in 37:48/Split 10:46
Beach Parks. 2nd run in new shoes (NB M890) and my feet were killing me (even tried heel striking)...yes, I walked around last week to break them in. I wanted a little more cushioning (than my NB M730) for my long workouts but I feel like I'm running in elevator shoes. I guess my feet have grown accustomed to minimalist shoes.
2/5/13
4 miles in 41:03/Split 10:15
Ala Moana Beach Park. Nice slow run since I'm still recovering from my cold & hacking up buckets of phlegm :-/
2/6/13
4 miles in 43:06/Split 10:46
Moanalua District. I wanted to run slow uphill & fast downhill...that didn't happen (well the fast part didn't). I died during the 3rd mile but still managed to limp to the end. Started @ the beautiful Moanalua Gardens :-)
2/10/13
3 miles in 28:39/Split 9:32
Farrington High Track. Real runners close your eyes x_x ...did a few sets of intervals...1 lap at 2 min, then a recovery lap at 2:30.
1/29/13
5 miles in 49:54/Split 9:58
Moanalua Valley. I was kind of blah for the first mile (felt a cold coming on) but felt better when I started climbing. Later that evening...sore throat...chills...headache :-(
Note:
I hate when I'm sick...hate it, hate it, hate it!!!
