Moanalua Valley. Ran from Moanalua Community Park to Moanalua Valley Park. There's a slight grade going up but not enough to be considered a hill ;-)

Ala Moana Beach Park. For the first 1.5 miles I wasn't even tired but...ohh ahh...the high noon sun wore me down. There weren't many runners who wanted to brave the elements.

Pearl City Bike Path (Neal Blaisdell Park). Humid...a nice breeze, hot...mostly overcast, no energy...chug...chug...5 hour energy shot! I noticed that my Nike+ was way off today! Nike+ = 4.5 miles, GPS = 3.75 miles...grr!

Kamehameha Park. First time running in my new shoes...old NB 1064's...12.1 ounces...new NB 730's...7.3 ounces. These shoes feel super light! My Nike+ sensor was way off...said I ran 4 miles when the actual distance was approx. 3.4 miles. The shoes don't have an insert so I tried running without socks...got a pebble in my shoe (is that a song?) and it really irritated the ball of my foot.

Farrington High Track. I didn't even now Farrington H.S. had a track until I noticed it on Google Maps. The track isn't very well kept with grass and rocks around the oval. I wore socks this time so the pebbles & dirt, that made their way into my shoes, didn't bother me. Recalibrated my Nike+ sensor and tested it so all's well with the world.

Ala Moana Beach Park. I wanted to run 4 miles but felt so good I extended to 6 miles. I really have to concentrate on my midfoot strike. With my minimalist shoes, if I heel strike I will get pain in my heel...duh! Also, with less heel cushioning my Achilles tendon is having to stretch more...so sore!

3 miles in 31:02/Split 10:17
Kamehameha Park. Ran in the late afternoon so it wasn't too hot...the problem was that I had ZERO energy. I need to lose some weight. I feel like I'm running with a tire around my waist :-/
Note:
I knew the soles of my shoes were worn but this is ridiculous! The rubber is paper thin on the left midsole (a possible cause of my stress fracture?). What a crazy wear pattern...left sole (outer midsole)...right sole (outer heel)! I immediately order a pair of New Balance 730's. I'm intrigued by the shoe's low 4mm drop (yea...no huge heel cushion) and the large toebox (something my wide feet need).

Kamehameha Park. Easy workout today running laps around the park (staying on the grass whenever possible). One more run until the new shoes come ;-)

4 miles in 40:49/Split 10:12
Pearl City Bike Path (Neal Blaisdell Park). Last run with the old shoes. There was some pain, in my left foot, and I tried to run as softly as possible. I paced myself behind another runner for the last 2 miles.
Note:
When I had started to run again in April (3 months after a stress fracture to my left foot), there was still pain. I was wondering, "What the hell is going on?!?!" Yes, the soles of my shoes were worn but I never looked at them very closely. Big mistake. Luckily, my foot is okay. In the future, I will pay closer attention to the wear pattern of my soles
